About the Fulbright academy of science & technology (fast)
Located in Portland,
Maine, about two hours north-east of Boston, the Fulbright Academy of Science
& Technology (FAST) is an independent organization committed to improving
the state of the world by energizing communities of Fulbright alumni. FAST enables
the exploration of the issues, trends and technologies, and empowers the alumni
the tackle critical problems in their sector, their community or their country.
FAST was established by
alumni of the prestigious Fulbright Exchange Program and other members of the
science and technology community. We use the Fulbright network of 100,000+
scientists globally to enhance innovation and advance education, research and
policy. Like a National Academy of Science, we bring together these experts to
address critical issues at the local, national and global level. More than a
social networking organization, this network of prestigious scholars addresses
issues of critical concern – health, education, environment and economic
development. FAST also provides customized services to its institutional
members, offering meeting management, a speakers bureau, and opportunities for
collaboration.
Please join us in
working with these alumni - to create an organization and network that finds
practical solutions to problems facing humanity today. A broad range of
scientific fields are addressed, including social sciences, medicine &
health, law & policy and business, as well as fields where science
and technology are critical to advances.

About the institute of sustainable enterprise
The Institute for Sustainable Enterprise (ISE), at Fairleigh Dickinson University, was founded in the AACSB-accredited Silberman College of Business in 2005. ISE is located at the Madison , New Jersey Campus of Fairleigh Dickinson University, which is only 30 minutes west of New York city.
The Mission of ISE is to bring
people together to learn how to live and manage sustainably. By
“sustainably” we mean thinking and acting in ways that simultaneously take
social, environmental, and economic factors into consideration from both a
short and long-term perspective.
The purpose of ISE is to educate current and future leaders of business, government, nonprofit, and educational institutions about managing sustainably by focusing on products, processes, and services that add value to the organizations and are beneficial to people and the planet.
Our strengths are our
multi-disciplinary approach, our network of academics, executives, consultants
and NGO representatives, and our ability to create collaborative dialogue about
solutions to complex sustainability issues. Since our founding in 2005,
we have achieved significant accomplishments in our priority strategic
areas of sustainability:
ISE is supported by the University
administration, ISE Corporate Partners, the ISE Advisory Board that
includes a diverse cross-section of business leaders from the private, public,
and nonprofit sectors, along with a number of faculty members from FDU’s
Silberman College of Business.
